Not Receiving Emails From Us? Here's What to Check

All emails from TPSA come from addresses ending in @tpsa.org or @app.tpsa.org. If you're not receiving emails (account confirmations, password resets, notifications, etc.), one of the causes below is almost always responsible.

1. Blocked by your school district's email filter

Many school districts run a network-level email gateway that blocks incoming messages from senders not on an approved allowlist. This is the most common reason students and teachers at district-managed schools never see our emails — the messages are silently dropped before they reach your inbox.

What to do: Contact your school's IT department or technology coordinator and ask them to allowlist the following sending domains:

  • tpsa.org

  • app.tpsa.org

If they need specific IP ranges or a dedicated sender address, please reach out to us and we can provide those details.

2. Caught by a district-level spam filter

Even when a message passes the gateway, a district-managed spam filter (e.g. Google Workspace for Education or Microsoft 365 Defender) may quarantine it before it lands in your inbox. You won't see a quarantine notification unless your district has enabled that feature.

What to do:

  • Ask your IT department to check the quarantine or spam filter logs for messages from @tpsa.org or @app.tpsa.org and release them.

  • Ask IT to mark those domains as safe senders in the district's email admin console (Google Admin or Microsoft 365 Admin Center).

3. Email landed in your personal spam or junk folder

If you use a personal email address (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.) rather than a school-issued one, our emails may be automatically sorted into your Spam or Junk folder.

What to do:

  1. Open your Spam or Junk folder and look for any message from @tpsa.org or @app.tpsa.org.

  2. If you find one, open it and mark it as Not Spam (Gmail) or Not Junk (Outlook). This teaches your email client to trust future messages from us.

  3. Add [email protected] and [email protected] to your contacts or safe senders list to prevent this from happening again.

Still not receiving emails?

If you've checked all of the above and emails are still not arriving, contact us. Please include:

  • The email address you're expecting the message to arrive at

  • What type of email you were expecting (e.g. password reset, account confirmation)

  • Whether your email address is school-issued or personal

We'll investigate from our end and help get it sorted.
